KATHRYN MOWAT MURPHY
Broadway: KatMoJAM’s founder has been in the theater and dance world for over 25 years, a professional Broadway dancer,
Kathryn has been performing on Broadway and Equity National tours which include: Pal Joey (2008 revival), Fosse, Chicago, Sweet Charity with Wayne Cilento and A Chorus Line. NYC: Samuel Beckett Play festival, New York Musical Theater Festival. Committed the Musical and numerous play readings and workshops including the Broadway workshop 'Carson the Musical'. TV: NBC “Saturday Night Live”, Nickelodeon’s “I Carly”. In 2012 she played Nicky and was associate choreographer to Randy Slovacek in the Lyric Production of Sweet Charity. In addition she debuted her first public original piece ‘Wounded but not Hurt’ to critical acclaim in the 2013 performance of Dancers over 40 ‘The Story of Our Lives’ Most summers she joins Randy as associate choreographer and performr at the Sacramento Music Circus in broadway productions including Chicago, A Chorus Line, Bye Bye Birdy and will be in the up and coming 2017 production of Sister Act. As well as being a performer Kat is a guest faculty member at New York’s Premier Professional Dance studio STEPS ON BROADWAY. Kat teaches Jazz, contemporary and Theater Dance. She is also guest Faculty of Jazz technique at the school at Steps children’s program. Kathryn is an acting coach to many young and aspiring Broadway and television actors and has worked closely with Lane Napper (Nickelodeon’s I Carly and currently Victorious) in many improvisational and scripted workshops.
is originally from Utica, New York. Cody has performed in numerous lead roles in productions such as The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonder Land, and Gete Peresian to name a few. Cody toured with Celebrity Cruise Lines for 2 years as a Production Dancer and Dance Captain touring all over Europe the Mediterranean the Caribbean and Alaska. He trained In London, England for 3 months where he trained extensively at Pineapple Dance Studio in all styles of dance and also trained at The Place Dance Studio with a focus in Ballet and Modern. Cody furthered his career as a choreographer for Mike Malony Entertainment producing shows for Celebrity Cruises and as a dancer and dance captain for Jersey Rocks at the Snoqualmi Casino in Seattle Washington. Cody had the honor of performing in the STREB emerging artist series under the direction of Ashley Walters. He was also a Dancer for Spirit productions performing at Casinos in Niagara Falls in shows such as Rocket Man (a Elton John tribute show ) Dancing Queen (a ABBA tribute show. He is also an accomplished Acrobatic instructor that has taught all levels around the state. He was a company member of the modern dance company ANAHATA, under the direction of Lauren Rosenstein Olmo. Cody is now a dance teacher and the Artistic Director at Empire of the Performing Arts in Totowa, NJ.
